Jon thinks and realizes that yes, he still wants the rich life, and no, he doesn't want to go back to being a lowly programmer...
Clearly you're not a fan of Jon's...but I will remind you that he did support his family before TLC came along and as someone with a baby and an elementary school age child, the babies are VERY expensive. My brother is an IT specialist and let me tell you, he makes VERY good money. He and his family don't "want" for anything financially.

I'll bet that Jon would go back to the old house and his old job if given the opportunity. Your question about "supporting our lifestyle" makes me wonder...who's lifestyle is it? What's wrong with not buying your kids clothes at Gymboree and declaring you are a "shopper"? I'll also bet that the days of Kate going shopping with massive coupons and rainchecks are over.

Kate has let herself be sucked in to the celebrity lifestyle and she is going to be heading for a RUDE awakening when she realizes it is all an illusion. Going on Oprah, buying new outfits for every tv appearance and having a huge house are totally unimportant when you look at how much happier they were when the show first started. I don't even know them but I can tell just by the few episodes I've watched this season that those days of true, heart melting happiness are gone and what's left is purely material possessions. That counts for nothing.

the3Ds - oh no, I'm also all for the rude awakening. I was just saying WHY it is not going to happen. The show is a monstrosity of a TV-milking.

Kate seems to be pragmatic--I've known many like her, some 'worse'.

--Very possibly she heard from her own parents --'If you want something done right, do it yourself'--it is true, many times. Those who adhere to this rigidly border on 'ruthless'. She's got 8 kids to educate and I am certain high standards are being defined as we speak.

Make a deal with a product/manufacturer and be done with the show. 'The Gosselins'--6/8 cute kids--people would buy anything.

They really 'can't' divorce--for the sake of the corporate identity they have created as much as anything. They can spend time away from each other. Hope that works. Kids pick up on everything.

They have issues as parents and a couple like us all. The problem is they went on TV with it and those issues without a show for all to see would just be with them and their friends and family. To us watching it is old. Kate really likes the fame thing and mabe we all would but.. when it hurts your marriage and children it is over. The other thing is that we all think it is time to be over. What makes me laugh is that we the public do not have to watch or support this show. We as the viewer need to send a message to take it off and in fact might give them what they need.. go back and find the people you were when you started. Then after that watch the few last seasons and tell us if you are impressed as a spouse or parents at times. Then the dollars and trips and big house might just not look as good.

I am so glad you said that. Unfortunately with the rise of "celebrities" who have no talent, we in America have forgotten that these real people can't just do a do-over anymore. People give up a lot for their 15 minutes of fame and then usually find themselves the punch line of a joke. The show has run it's course but with all of the companies working hard to get plugged by their show, TLC is not going to let them go without a fight.

Honestly, I don't find the show as bad as you guys who don't like it. I don't know if it's an East Coast thing or because I do see that both are joking with some things that have been blown up here. Kate has a very dry sense of humor, I've said it before.

No, I don't think Jon would go back to the old house and no I don't think he'd like to work 60+ hours per week again. He seems to enjoy the new house, the land, the dogs. So what he complains some on TV? The complaining is what makes the show.

Jons old boss has already spoken up. I think it's a matter of time before we hear about how great he was at "IT".

How do you go from cabinets to IT so quick? You don't. It takes time to go to school. IMO, his brother in law probably saw he was decent at something and hired him to help them out. Only a matter of time before "Jodi's sister" dishes about that.

I don't think we know. Dog lover that I am--I prefer to believe that they are enjoying 'walks' with Jon and being part of the pack. The breeder seemed ethical enough --I don't worry about the puppies. or J&K8.

Kate is making an appearance here this weekend. A year or two I absolutely would have gone to see her, but now? It just seems so.........sad.

I'm not a hater, I just think the show has hurt them recently. Maybe it's the reality show effect- Nick and Jessica, The Osbournes, Carmen and Dave, etc. I really hope they pull it together.

I wanted to add that if this was Jon talking to Kate the same way I perceive she talks to him I would be equally disgusted. It is very apparent that you and I have a very different opinion of Kate and that is fine, however you seem to have decided to attack several who don't agree with you, ie your post to SuSuShi calling her a rabid biotch and telling me I am a know it all who knows nothing. But that's okay attack away.
