Not to mention, hubs and I found ourselves wondering why the super secret covert NCIS people were handling so much out of their jurisdiction.
And I didn’t think there were many bases left in New Oroeans to merit an NCIS branch.
There are actually a handful of NCIS agents that operate out of Joint Reserve Base New Orleans in Belle Chasse, LA. In real life though they are responsible for the entire Gulf coast and not just New Orleans and it's immediate surroundings. There is a substantial Navy presence around Pensacola, FL as well as a large training area and a shipyard in Mississippi.
I thought it was generally well done, but didn't you think the scenes of the bad guys fiendishly explaining their evil schemes to the good guys were a bit cartoonish?

Yes and yes. I also like how they referred to Abs.
It's funny how I always think I won't like the new characters but always end up doing just that.
DH and I are done with all of the shows; we didn't even finish the last season haven given up around episode 6. I just plain disliked all of the new people. I kept coming up with new and inventive ways to kill Bishop. Torres has all of the overconfidence and none of the charm of DiNozzo.
Then with the drama of Harmon and Perrette and the loss of the relationship between Gibbs and Abby we were just done.
I hope that everyone who still enjoys the show will continue to do so.
NCIS is set in he Washington, DC area but is filmed in the Los Angeles area. Have you ever seen any “creeping southern Californiaisms” on the show, like a palm or citrus tree, a landscape more arid than you would find in the mid-Atlantic states, etc.?
I've noticed the topography. Driving down to PAX NAS, or really anywhere, going by low brown hills. The trees are wrong. Things like that.
