Puerto rican power......! (foreclosure, crime, lawyer)

If one has been watching "The Crime Of The Century," being held in Orlando, Florida, one will see how the media has come down on Jose Baez, the Puerto Rican lawyer defending Casey Anthony. Orlando, Florida has a very- high percentage of Puerto Ricans, and there is lots of animosity and bias against them, because other people feel they have taken over the city. The Media has mistreated Jose Baez because they say he" lacked experience," to try a case of this magnitude............Well, he just won an acquital on Casey Anthony.

It does not mean she was not guilty, it means he was talented enough to bring it to the jury, in a way, that the prosecution could not prove it, due to lack of evidence tying her to the crime, because the crime was not reported to the police for 31 days, and the DNA disintegrated. I know there are no winners in this case, and I feel extremely sorry for the loss of this little girl, but it made me angry at the way the Media mistreated this young attorney, and he proved them all WRONG ABOUT HIS CAPABILITIES.

At the end, he spoke in Spanish, and thanked his family, his colleagues, and all the people who stood by him. This man worked sooo hard to win this case, PRO BONO, and he proved to the Media that he is a GREAT LAWYER!!!!

You're kidding, right? Do you really know his background?

Why not tell the truth? He was a high school drop out. He didn't pay child support for over 12 years. In fact he was so behind in child support was so irresponsible with his finances in general (including bad check charges and a bankruptcy) that the Florida Bar refused him admittance for over eight years until he could prove he had "rehabilitated" himself. He then proceeded to allow his home to go into foreclosure.

Yup, that's a guy to really be proud of.

By the way, he was paid over $80K for his work, he did not "work pro bono" nor did he win anything. Rather the prosecutors were unable to prove her guilt. Big difference.
