I am in NJ Tier III, if I take a two week temp job, will I be able to collect any benefits after the temp job is over?

The temp job will pay more than my weekly benefit amount.

Taking the two week job will make my Tier III claim exhausted AFTER the Nov. 30 cut off to get into Tier IV.

Will I still be able to go into EB after the two weeks is up?

There is no possibility of a permanent job. Just two weeks through a temp agency. If I were to pass up the temp thing, I will move into Tier IV. Again, this is not a temp position with a possibility of a job. But I would like something new on my resume.

New Jersey UI does not close your UI account if you are employed on a temporary assignment for only a few weeks. As long as you continue to file on schedule every two weeks -- and report that work during that period -- they will suspend payment from your account for that time.

They resume payment of your benefits when your temporary earnings no longer exceed your weekly benefit.

If your temporary assignment lasts for four or more weeks, they may have to reopen your claim -- but there would be no change in your status (i.e., no change in WBA or in remaining weeks of payment).
