This is a follow up and some new questions regarding my situation...
After several calls to the MESC office in MI, i was finally able to get a rep on the phone with some insight on my protest. They stated that they have up to 60 days to make a decision on a protest. Does this sound accurate? How long after a decision should i expect to receive benefits?
I am protesting 1099 earnings that i made in the last quarter of 2010. I filed the claim in June of this year but couldn't use my second quarter wages at the time. My question is if the decision is ruled in my favor which quarters would be used to establish the claim, I know the 1099 wages of the last quarter in 2010 would be used but would they also take the first quarter wages of this year along with my second quarter wages since right now they could be used as well that way i would have a longer and larger benefit amount? Or will they just use the last half of 2010 and the first quarter of 2011 wages? And,would a lesser benefit award/amount play a factor as far as eligibility for potential future EUC benefits if still
unemployed?
