Hi. I am currently still on unemployment since I was only working part time (which the edd knows about, I do not hide ANYTHING from the edd, because of course they will find out anything anyway).
To make a long story short my employer let me go this Tues. 09/18 stating "poor job performance". Long story short I began a sexual harassment claim by letting the office manager know and the gm know and ever since that happened in December they have been writing me up for everything (jobs done by 4 people and there was a mistake made which could have been me, it also could have been 3 other people it simply can not be proven that it was my mistake), and I was working in a very hostile work enviroment. I am filing paperwork with the labor board regarding illegal issues, as well as the eeoc regarding my termination. They were looking for any reason to get rid of me and I was trying desperately to find another job so I could quit and move on, unfortunately they got rid of me first.
My question is what response do I put in the box "reason no longer working?" Do I simply put terminated for performance? Or no longer working?
Sorry I haven't been fired from a job in over 20 years and back then I was not on unemployment so I am not sure what to do, and I do not want to put the wrong thing down.
Thank you.

Any of those things are acceptable.

For the other people reading, this is again another story about why you never want to take part time jobs while on unemployment. Even though this claimant will probably get to keep her benefits, she's probably going to be without a check for about 6 weeks or more while EDD investigates the separation. If you can't afford to be without benefits, you can't afford to work part time.

Please please please, I pray that doesn't happen. As is I am doing the paperwork to bring my claim current. I worked one 40 hour week because I was covering for another employee and unemployment decided to assume I was full time perm (I wasn't) but I had to have my payments stopped until this was investigated. Yet another reason why it really does not help you to accept part time employment while on unemployment.
So as it is they haven't paid me since Aug. 15 and I can not have things stopped, at least not without bringing things current.
I DO NOT advise anyone to work part time it just creates many delays in claims and many headaches. Maybe I am just unlucky, but I hope to never go thru this ever again.
