thank you around1999 ...I admit my mistake .. for some strange reason i feel life is sucked out of me ...i cannot think straight and my memory is completely shot ...and I have zero energy ...
OK ...I went to the Morristown location today and the security guard told me there is only one employee handles the unemployment and "her chair is empty" and I asked him if he can help me in anyway he said "I'm a security guard the only way i can help you is kick you out!!!" lol wow ...then I drove to Dover, they refused to help me initially, they told me I'm doing it wrong online ...after discussion they reopened my claim and set an interview date .. what questions do you think the examiner will ask? what should I tell the examiner? ...anyway, thank you Ariadne22 so much, without your advice I'd have believed them <3
LOL - "her chair is empty."
OK, you're on the right track, now. You have reopened the claim and an interview is scheduled. This is necessary whenever you stop work and start claiming again. They want to be sure you didn't quit. They will ask why you are no longer working. They will then ask that employer as to the circumstances of why you are no longer working.
You might get paid for the missing week when the power was out - maybe. I only say that because NJ may be making accommodations for those affected by the storm. NJ won't pay you for the other week(s) when you failed to claim due to oversight. The UE's must have timely claims in order to pay retro.
you smoking weed? if so stop. if you are depressed you need to work on it. you seem in a spot that your making your life harder than it needs to be look for help. i am being very serious. also i really think they will give you the 2 weeks because everybody is beat down because of not having power for a week. its now going to be a game of time before it all works out.

Thank you Ariadne22 I wonder if they will penalties me because i don't have a "good cause" for not filing my bi-weekly claims ... Thank you around1999 ... I don't smoke weed, drink or smoke, but I am feeling depressed but I cannot afford things as counseling and I live by myself, however I'm not giving up ..
I just had the interview with the examiner today, he told me he will mail me the determination result and I can appeal it if I disagree .. I hardly was able to hear him, I think he was on speaker phone, and he was talking so fast, ...I hope we didnt have any miscommunication
My husband is on the nj EUC benefits and his year is on 7/8/2013. But today when he tried to file it said your claim cannot be processed at this time to call the employment claim center. What could this mean? So frustrated.

We get these reports on NJ claiming issues virtually every Sunday. NJ shouldn't be dealing with a bye issue, yet, although you might be transitioning from Tier 1 to Tier 2, depending on the size of his original claim, which might also account for the delay - although it shouldn't. Try again later today or tomorrow.
I live Michigan, worked in New Jersey, i would like to draw there unemployment , it's much higher then michigan. Do I have to make a certain amount in nj to qualify.
