Anyone else in NJ who has been collecting EUC benefits having trouble filing online today? It's telling me "The Benefit year on your unemployment claim has expired." I've only started the second tier of EUC back at the beginning of Dec. I last filed on 12-23-12 and my claim balance is a little over $6K. EUC has been extended by congress so what is going on?? According to the NJ unemployment web site you're supposed to file today and you should continue with EUC without interruption.

Anyone else having this problem?

I had the same issue with MA today. I'm on Tier 2 and have a little over $2000 left on my claim.

The message displayed was:

"Call the Telephone claims center for Customer Assistance if you have any questions regarding your continued eligibility. The Extended Benefits Program has expired in Massachusetts. You may contact the Telephone Claims Center at 617-626-6800. If you are calling from the 351, 413, 508, 774 or 978 area codes, you may call toll free at 877-626-6800. The TeleClaim Center hours of operation are Monday- Friday, 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM. "

I wasn't on EB yet, I was on EUC. My BYE was late September. They had no trouble updating their website on the 2nd but obviously didn't update their claim program. Additionally I've been having issues changing my deductions for tax purposes, something I should be able to do online, but for some reason I keep getting a message to "log in during business hours" even if I log in at 3PM on a Tuesday.

After one year you have to call and re certify. It takes about 5 minutes AFTER you get through. A pain in the neck but no big deal. Funds are released a few days later. But you MUST call.

If your BYE is 1-5-13, you need to recertify.
