Don't let it get you down, when I was laid off, there was a shock value that took time to snap out of it.
But you have to look at yourself, what are my best skills and try ( I know it's hard) to re-invent yourself. There are avenues of help out there, but for the most part you must want to do it youself and have that drive, if not the alternative is not good.
