Each time I try to report my temporary job lost of my part-time job it ask me for the fein number of my part-time job making me think that the unemployment benefits for my former full-time job will be lost and unemployment will use my part-time job in calculating my benefits.
When you are approved for unemployment, you receive a full "benefit year". That claim is established based on the circumstances at the time you apply and covers the next 52 weeks. Any employment during that period impacts the payment of benefits but does not alter the original claim.

When you work during periods of that claim, your work effects benefits in one of two ways:

First, the amount you earn is considered in weekly benefit payments. So if you earn too much from that part-time work, you can have benefit payment amount reduced (offset). Likewise, if what you are receiving from UI was being reduced by that work, losing the job means any benefit offset will also disappear.

The second is if you lose that job due to misconduct, that can impact continued benefits for the claim period. If you were laid-off, that would have no adverse impact as it's not your fault.

They need the info from that employer to ensure there is no adverse reason connected with that job loss and to ensure wages are properly counted to determine when any offset ends.
