Hello All I just got a unemployment interview for december 20th and Ive been reading a few posts over the internet on how to handle the situation. One of the questions from the notice about the interview date asks " if ive ever been warned about being terminated". The Reason Im posting on this site is i don't know how I should answer this question. The reason I was let go from my job on nov 11 th with my supervisor who's the one who let me go(we hadn't been getting along to well at this point) saying it was based on "performance". Around halloween 2 weeks before I was let go my supervisor HR manager and another sup pulled me aside and forced me to either resign or try to better my performance. I tried to do better(my job is to get customers aka force customers to get att uverse products even if they dont want it.... After reading posts from here im wondering if i should just leave it simple and tell them i didnt know of a warning or explain the warning and why which i personally would rather not do. Just trying to not get denied. Thanks for any info

You can admit to a performance review which threatened termination if your sales didn't improve.

Yours was a sales job. You can't be denied benefits for failure to meet quota - unless your employer can prove you intentionally did not improve your sales.

You reiterate in any interview you did the best job you could, just could not sell enough to satisfy your employer.

Being discharged for unintentional poor performance is not disqualifying.
