Did you have to call or email them to have it fixed? Or did it just get fixed on its own? Thanks

You get the card in the mail from Bank of America after the first time you certified and it's approved (or status says "paid") on EDD. I had no issues on EDD the first time I certified, so I was sent my debit card. If this is the first time you are certifying weeks, and you're getting the canceled messaged, I suggest you try contacting EDD. They'll fix the issue manually for you

I don’t want to wait for the payment and it’ll never come through because of that.

I don't trust their system right now because I think they are extremely backlogged with everything. That's why I'm continuing to certify every two weeks myself, especially since I'm earning money from my part-time job still. I don't want there to be an issue later on. and I also didn't want to wait for payments.

With the canceled and duplicate messages on your claim history, it seems to be another problem in their system based on my phone convo with them. If you're still getting that message on EDD, I suggest calling them to have it fixed and get paid.

I am having the exact same problem here as well. I saw the comment about calling the 833-978-2511 number (but as like many of you, I have had no success in contacting anyone from EDD for help). Ill try calling at odd hours like suggested but as far as this problem goes I'm not really sure what to do next.

I have the same problem with the duplicate status, I certified by paper first time on 03/27 and I forgot to sign the paper so I got an email saying I was reissued a new one but never got it in the mail. Tried to certify through UI Online, got duplicate status next day. Tried to certify through Tele-cart, got duplicate status again the next day.

Called the EDD line where they are open 8AM-8PM, took me about 2 weeks of calling everyday to finally get a hold of someone. Lady I talked to was very nice and tried to fix my problem, to no avail she didn't have enough access and said I needed a specialist to resolve this. So I got put on a specialist call back list which I haven't gotten yet, been 10 days now.

I understand it will take longer due to this pandemic but i'm starting to lose hope here.

Talked to someone on the 2511 number. He said he knew it was a system glitched, removed all the flags, removed the duplicate, and to check back in the PM, 24-28 hours later the latest. It has been 10 days and still not fixed. Called back on Sunday and we were told someone who could help would call us within 3 business days. Tomorrow will be the 3rd. Crossing fingers.

My advice: keep calling!

Good luck.

By the way, this is what my be happening and how to fix the issue going FORWARD.

* If you certify your weeks by Monday the latest, you're good. You won't get duplicates.
* If you certify on/after Tuesday, the system will do so as well, thus resulting in duplicates.

Don't wait til Tuesday, and if you're waiting to see if you're receiving vacation/sick time to report on your weeks, be proactive and ask your boss/HR. Best practice is to know exactly what to report ahead a time, and certify on SUNDAY.
