Actually, I like to go once a year around my birthday for guidance and clarification. I didn't go this past year though, so I'm not religious about it.
I also read for other people, but I prefer not to read for myself.
I think that seeing a
good psychic can be a wonderful tool to help one to focus, gain perspective and insight into a particular situation. I think that a
good reading can be helpful at times of transition, flux or confusion. A good reader can direct you to the path that will be easier for you and offer less obstacles.
Conversely, he can tell you if those obstacles are worth braving in order to get to a better place in your life, literally or figuratively.
I do think that frequently the solution actually lies within ourselves, but a gifted outside party can help to find insight, and to see the "big picture."
A good psychic can pick up on trends and timing. For example, perhaps a move is a good idea. But perhaps six months from now would be better.
Psychics are just intuitive people. More intuitive than one would normally expect. They are not perfect and the best ones will admit that.
If a psychic does not "feel right" to you in any way, trust yourself, not his or her reputation.
I went to a well regarded psychic once who just didn't like me. I felt it the moment that I walked into the room.
Today I would walk out and not worry about offending her.
