Cool No Voodoo here

Who do, that Voodoo, you do so well .

Its called "the power of suggestion". Just like if you were in a large city that has very tall buildings. If you walked around looking up, your bound to make others look up as well. Or, if your in a dinner and you act like something is in your soup, other will look at thiers to see if there is something it.

So, its nothing but the power of suggestion, thats all.

The whole universe is simply energy . . . little molecules . . . so life on a nano level means we are all connected . . . Even thoughts send out energy . . . Just as w/ prayer, inciting "spirits" to carry out a Voodoo command is simply a matter of sending out energy into the universe . . . Now, what one believes about what entity, if any, intercepts or receives those signals (prayers, invocations) . . . that determines your belief system.

Who you invoke in your prayers (or rituals) . . . that is the entity (or panoply of entities) you believe has at least some control over what unfolds in the universe. For some, it may be the Triune Godhead. For others, it could be a pantheon of gods. For some, it may be Mother Earth Spirit or a Creative Force.

Isn't that what I said? It's as valid a religion as Christianity or any other religion.

Almost. I was referring to VooDoo as Hogwash. Religion to me is a way to find your Harmonious balance with everything about you as one, a creater. You know, to concentrate on all that is good and project it as best as you can. Some would call that, being a Christian.

This is true, thats why I said "and SOME would", and thats cool with me. I like to listen to everyones view point when it comes to faith. But the ones that follow preachers around with blinders on, are only fooling thier selves. We have brains, we can think and we have to find our OWN purpose in life.

Their spirits are believed to influence one’s life, so proper respect and sacrifices (of food, generally) is important.

We believe there is only one God
This God is, however, remote and normally inaccessible, so interaction with the spirit world is generally by way of contact with lesser spirits called Lwa.

So what is the difference between my God and your God?
Your god is not the God of the Bible? Is that enough?
