How about you guys and gals start it, and I'll make it a sticky?

It must be noted, however, that pictures need to be original compositions only to comply with copyright policies. Images from other sites may be subject to copyright by the original artist and will be deleted.

Little lambs, on a National Trust property

http://www.city-data.com/forum/attac...6&d=1203995217

and the house, but can't remember which - think it was in Sussex

It would be nice to know how to post photos properly - I've done it before but forgotten how!

Thanks, tried that last night and managed the two versions above, of thumbnail and link, but can't get just the pic to post in the body of the reply.
Will try again, apologies in advance for any odd photos appearing!

Would be nice to see this thread happen, but I might have to leave it to you intelligent ones!

The thumbnails work fine though, you get them full size if you click on them. I wonder if it's something to do with the photo size - perhaps they thumbnail if they're too big to fit on screen. Obviously that's just a guess.

I'd love to be able to post some too but I'm on dial-up at home where all my photos are, so it could cost me a fortune!

One of the easiest ways to post images here at City Data is by lonking to a photo account at another host such as Photobucket. (Image hosting, free photo sharing & video sharing at Photobucket)

First open a free account at the host.

Transfer your selected pictures to the host.

Start to make a post here at CD.

Click on the Image icon (yellow sky over mountains). This opens a dialogue box.

From your photo host, Copy the link URL for your photo.

Paste that URL into the CD dialogue box.

Post your reply. Your photo should now appear full size in your CD reply.
