Tripe to you maybe.. but meant a lot to a hell of a lot of people both in Ireland and here in the UK... surely even you were moved a little by the reception our Queen got over there...did you want her to join in with Riverdance then...

Some misunderstand the role of a constitutional monarch. The job does not involve "caring for" particular groups of people. Some might prefer Diana kissing HIV babies and espousing particular causes, but that is not what they are there for as Charles has found out over recent political interventions.

We want good relations with Ireland where there are all kinds of cultural and trade links, and historical issues. It would be very strange if our head of state could never visit or build goodwill with our nearest neighbour. Improved relations between all people living on these islands can only be a good thing for both countries.

while mountbatton was killed in a cowardly fashion in an act of terrorism , mountbatton himself was no stranger to death , he was pretty handy at putting down revolts in various parts of the world during his military career

Except these people fail to realise that none of this would've happened if they didn't do what they did!

We need to abolish the royal family and sell all of their property.

God save the people not the Queen!
