If it was just a matter of considering the facts it would be an easy decision to make.
Unfortunately both sides urge us to consider the 'facts' that they favour.

That is very interesting. I wonder where will all minorities vote for - who are traditional Labour Voters. They dont like UKIP and with UK going OUT of EU, right wing politicians will gain prominence over UK.
I would also like to know about Farmers. I heard that EU gives lot of agricultural subsidies.
So many British people live in Spain-are they allowed to vote? Will people in Falkland Islands, Gibralter vote in this referendum?
I am sure that Scotland did not vote for IN with UK in their referendum for this UKIP dominated out of Europe UK.

So yes, the EU will be delighted to see the UK leave in order to be able to move forward. Actually, it would be the best thing that happened since its creation! Anything else is just the UK trying to feel important in a matter that goes far beyond itself.
Not half as delighted as me - I hope that the silent majority in the UK choose to vote OUT. The EU can have Turkey instead of the UK.

Default An American perspective on Brexit

I'm a rank amateur on economic and political matters as will soon be revealed by my comments so please excuse my speculative remarks. I'm just curious - with Brexit being seriously considered, what would Brits think if the U.S. petitioned to join the commonwealth and push for a visa-free and free trade zone in all former colonies? Would you be open to the idea? Frankly I think after the initial pause for reflection this would be an easy sell in the U.S. We far prefer you to the continentals whom we don't really understand anyways. It would be nice to not have to bother with the EU so much. It would also be nice to have the option to move to Canada should Donald Trump get elected. What do you think? Would a closer union to the U.S. be something the UK is open to?

Then, a good place to start, I think, would be to ask yourself how you felt before all the propaganda machine got into motion.

We should have left before Eastern Europe and Greece were allowed to join.

Ha ha ha, i'm sorry, never in a million years. You really need to do some research on how US foreign trade policy actually works. Just to start, the US is not interested "free trade", the US is run by large economic corporations ( btw corporations are people too ) these corporations set trade to suit their bottom line, thus lining their pockets, any idea that power could be removed from said corporations by joining the commonwealth would put the big boys on a war path, you would see every neo con from Clinton, Bush, Obama all squirming like worms under their masters wrath.
You won't get it. but Trump is actually the only one ( well unless Sanders makes some huge comeback ) offering change, but you wanna leave if he becomes president

MH & I are definitely voting OUT.

Instead of joining the EU my husband and I would have preferred it if Maggie Thatcher had followed her gut instincts and asked for a trading block including the British Commonwealth plus the USA, Japan, Taiwan & South Korea, (and now China) now that would have been great. Definitely no visa-free otherwise you fall into the trap that the EU have gotten themselves into.

If Mr Trump succeeds I think he might surprise you.
