We'll plan on Zions/Bryces next year.
Sounds like a good plan. Just make it Zion/Bryce instead of Zions/Bryces.

Just wanted to post back on here that we went to Manti-Moab a couple of weeks ago. Went to Arches and camped out in the red rock. Maybe it was the time of year (most likely) but it was pretty hot and miserable. Hiking was fun and the sights were fantastic (got tons of great photos) but the camping part was fairly rough. If we ever camped there again it would definitely be during the fall/spring or at least near the river. Actually the best part of the trip (besides A/C in the hotel) was river rafting on the Colorado with the fam.

I think for the most part, I will stick to camping near trees, grass and water.

we are going to be in vegas last weekend in april and we plan to get a car and drive to zion and bryce. any suggestions on what to do or if you think we should do anything different? we will have about 5 days after we leave vegas. what type of weather should i expcet the first week in may. give me your itinerary or any suggestions. we plan to stay in hotels so any advice on that will also be appreciated. is it worth staying in the park or is it just as nice staying outside of the park? thanks

In the parks is VERY nice, in beautiful buildings but also very expensive.
