Hi All,
My husband and I would like to move to Richfield from Las Vegas. I would like some advice and or ideas on where to look for a job and a home to rent. He is a welder and I am a concierge/reservationists. We have a couple of questions about the job market. I understand Richfield is really growing. Can anybody tell us if welders stop work in the winter? And what would be the average pay. He has many years of experience in welding ….to be honest I can’t remember all the initials he can weld…lol
We would also like to know the average cost of rent.
Our biggest worry about moving to Richfield is not the fact that we are not Mormon. It’s that fact that we have 2 Labrador retrievers. In your opinion what would be the likely hood of someone renting to us with our babies. If anybody knows someone with rental houses may I please have their number? I would really like to move to Richfield sometime in late August or September…. Thanks

Have you ever been to Richfield??
I dont think you have anything to worry about in regards to housing, but you may not have an easy time finding work.
This a small remote town.
Coming from Vegas, I think you really need to visit and don't rely on rumors.
You may want to try St George area if you are in the tourism business--there is also a ton of construction and year round work as the winters are milder.
The housing will be more expensive but you may find in cheaper in the smaller surrounding areas

Good luck

Probably the best answer would be what your experience was when you lived here before. It might depend somewhat on small town/large town, but you should have an idea.

This city is 100 percent LDS all the way-nothing like watered down gentile SLC. I'd do a lot of research before moving there.
