I first traveled to Vancouver recently and fell in love with the beauty, culture and overall awesomess of the city.
I totally wouldn't mind living there.
I'm a US citizen who has a Master's in Public Health as well as some higher ed, administrative and entrepreneurial experience.
What are my chances of being able to secure a job in the area?
Do any of you know who is actively recruiting immigrants to work in the aforementioned fields?
Thanks.
Be aware that Vancouver is post card pretty but pretty lousy (some call it a wasteland) when it comes to good paying jobs and careers.....I strongly advice to spend an extended amount of time in the city and talk to people before considering moving there (or any other city, the advice is not limited to Vancouver of course). Get the pulse of what living there really is, pros and cons.
