I'm hoping to get advice on becoming a BCBA and moving from the US to Canada to work.

I currently work in TV production in LA. There isn't much of a future and it isn't rewarding. I once lived in Vancouver for a year (was going to culinary school) and it is my goal to move back. I feel like working with kids would be rewarding and ABA seems like a hot field right now.

What would the best way to become a BCBA and work in Vancouver doing it? Is the certification process there any different than in the US? What kind of salary/job prospects are out there?

I bet you could still find work in that field up here while you go to school to make money on the side you would have to get a workers visa or apply to have dual citizenship

I agree...I am thinking of taking an online program while living in Van, working in that field. I am going to send in a permanent residence application--I wonder how long it takes to process and if a lawyer would speed it along.

As far as PR applications go, involving a lawyer will not speed the process up.

Generally the applications resemble any other government instrument; they're voluminous, pedantic piles of paper that need to be filled in completely according to the instructions.

They are not rocket science; follow the instructions and triple-check to make sure all the t's are crossed and i's are dotted..........then wait patiently.
