I have really had some great vegetarian meals lately, last night I was at a banquet, and requested vegetarian, everyone else got a lackluster piece of fish. I got a huge plate of pasta, tossed with pesto, fresh vegetables, it was so good.
Very impressed with the tofu at Chipotle, that was so good. I have to figure out make this at home.
I am not one, but have dined here numerous times and LOVE LOVE LOVE the food and surroundings.
I cannot begin to explain their menu, just that it is extremely fresh and tasty.
When I'm in San Francisco I hit up a couple of vegetarian Chinese restaurants that are amazing.

I've had some great meals at Asian and Mediterranean restaurants.
This past week we ate at Aladdin - a small chain of vegetarian Lebanese restaurants with quality food. They have restaurants in Ohio PA and NC.
We also ate at "The Flaming Ice Cube" - a vegan restaurant with locations in Cleveland and Boardman Ohio.
Both meals were delicious. Everything there is fresh and delicious and the veggie burgers are made from scratch. http://www.flamingice.com/ Here is a link to the menu. If you are in the area and are looking for creative vegan food I'd check them out.
A Lebanese restaurant I love here (Bada West) has lots of vegetarian items and their big vegetarian combo plate is a ton of food for two people. Vegetarian kibbeh, humus, ful, falafel, spiced lentils and rice, dolmas, great fruit and green smoothies. Yum. Their meat offerings are good too but the veggie combo is the best deal.
At Indian restaurants I almost always eat vegetarian. Indian cuisine is probably my favourite class of food.
Pretty much every sit-down restaurant I go to here in New Haven County has excellent meatless entrees. Most of them also offer dairy-free entrees, and gluten-free entrees, so there's enough of a selection to satisfy every gastronomic need/interest.
Mod Cut No one does Syrian meatless meals like Mamoun's does; their hummus platter and their falafel pita sandwiches are to die for - and their hot cardamom tea is the only tea I'll drink black with no sweetener.
Down a few blocks from Mamoun's is the famous Claire's Cornercopia, which is an actual designated vegetarian hotspot. I go there for their incredibly filling, tasty, locavore-friendly raw salads with their home-made tahini dressing and fresh, hot from the oven mini loaves of dense, yeasty bread made from scratch throughout the day. But they're also known for their creativity with a myriad of meatless dishes, and have both regular and dairy-free vegan baked desserts and pies that are so good, June Cleaver would be a divorcee if Ward ever got a taste of them.
For meatless (but not vegan) pizza, well - this is New Haven County, Connecticut. Other than NYC, its variety and quality in almost every pizza joint is second only to that made in the Motherland itself.

I just had a Black eyed pea burger, with fresh avocado, and red pepper aioli on brioche bun. There might have been some sprouts, too.
Oh my, its the best thing I've had in awhile. I'm not a vegetarian, but I'm open to new flavors and textures, and this was super.
