Best Ways to Find Rentals in Westlake Village (Los Angeles, Thousand Oaks: apartments, condos)

Hi There,

My family and I are relocating to LA. We are considering renting (for the first 6 months up to a year) before buying. I really like Agoura Hills/ Westlake Village areas for the combination of school, safety, nature and the [milder] temperature (in comparison to the valley).

My question is what's the best way to find rentals in Westlake Village? Is it the local paper/site, realtors, main stream websites (such as rent-dot-com, etc.) or just driving by? Please let me know what worked for you.

Very few rentals are going to let you have less than a 1-year lease. If you want a flexible lease, try here:

When I relocated from out of state I looked at most of the apartments and a few condos in Thousand Oaks, Westlake, Newbury Park, Oak Park. I did not look at Agoura.
I ended up living in Westlake Canyon apartments which is in TO but almost on the border of Westlake. I was very happy living there and I am picky and dislike apartment living. I would recommend it there.
I also looked on realtor.com and put the city and rentals. You can view pictures there and then if you call the listing agent they may have some other ones to show you.
