What does "best" and "worst" mean?

Use the search tool in Greatschools to compare several parameters.

In the mean time, here's a graphic showing some performance data:

I don't believe Oxnard has a great reputation for education. Any chance dad and get him into Ventura, Camarillo or Thousand Oaks? Possibly a private school? If you wait long enough there will be posters here that actually live in the area and know the town inside and out. I'm looking in the general vicinity and my realtor said Oxnard schools are a problem.

What research have you already performed? Have you visited the GreatSchools website? The California Dept of Education Website?

Send him to private school. Rio Mesa, Oxnard, Port Hueneme, and Pacifica all have gangs. Camarillo, Ventura, and San Buenaventura are better. Some bad schools in Simi Valley and Thousand Oaks, but they have some good ones. Santa Paula is good.

It's true, Oxnard is not known for superb schools, but it's not as bad as many people say it is. As long as you're in a good neighborhood, the schools will be alright.
