Moving to the White River Junction area next month. Wife is being transferred there. Wondering what is used for cell carriers. I understand cell service can be spotty, just wondering which is best. Thanx

It totally depends on your travel pattern. For me, Verizon Wireless has by far the best coverage. AT&T is a solid second. Depending on your travel pattern and what you're expecting for voice and data service, you may be able to get by with a less expensive carrier. For example, Sprint has coverage in the Hanover/Lebanon/White River area but roams onto Verizon with very crippled data service pretty much anywhere you would go outside of that location. If you only cared about phone calls and text messages, that might be adequate. I had an employer give me a Sprint Blackberry 6 years ago. It made a nice paperweight other than very limited areas.

AT&T and Verizon are fairly solid in VT. AT&T can be spotty in NH.

Both work fine if you are in town centers and along most of the interstates.

Any service is bad in deep valleys because most cell towers are high on hills or buildings and valleys are hidden from those.

Lots of people use Trac phones too so I assume they work reasonably well though I have no experience with them.

I have AT&T. I had Verizon but it never worked at my house, but at least AT&T works in my driveway, and bedroom. :-D
