I spent a perfect day at the falls/rapids just north of Bristol. A real Vermont gem. It was packed, but there are so many big rocks in the water that everyone has their own enclave and you feel like you are the only ones there.
Glad to hear the farmers are getting some warm dry weather. I sure don't miss the Vermont humidity. Where I live, it's 49 degrees today and there's a chance of snow above 10,000'. Nice hiking weather, though.

It's just that I expect it farther south. When I moved from S Fla to Northern New England, somehow I didn't think I'd be so hot and sticky every summer. I'm more at home in the arid, cold areas out west. But in every other way I adore New England and Vermont is my home.

High up in some of the mountains it's not as humid. But still nowhere near as nice and dry as, say, Alaska's Interior.
The next few days are going to be bad...high of 90 tomorrow, humid...I wish this place had a nice cool root cellar like the place I was at before, I'd stay there all day if there was...
This is about as hot as it gets in Stowe (90 today). I had to leave the office for a work assignment at noon and the heat took my breath away. I've never liked the heat, but now that I'm pregnant I'm extremely sensitive. Anything over 85 is unbearable.
Now, I'm scared to leave work. My house doesn't have an air conditioner (we don't need it 99 percent of the time). It's probably like a sauna.
Maybe I'll stay late, run home to grab my bathing suit, cool off at the lake and return home when the temperature starts to dip into the 70s. If you see a big pregnant lady floating on Lake Elmore, stop by to say hello. It's LisaMc46!
It is horrible in NH as well. We have a very dry wind blowing as well. I am looking forward to the cooling trend coming soon.
