I played a lot of Ghosts and liked it, but campers have really become an issue. Nobody got the memo that the bullets don't actually hurt, and it is ok to move from one spot. MW3 and BO2 didn't have unlimited sprint and that is a deal-breaker for my style.
Probably because it is endlessly entertaining to sit back and pop the kids who are running around like chickens with their heads cut off, and then hear them rage on the mic.
COD4 was amazing when it launched back in 07 but it didn't age well. IMO The first Black Ops aged a lot better.
BO 1 is barely a year and a half old. Hardly aged. COD4 is 7 years old this month and still very playable. BO's engine was only marginally better than COD4. Game play with both was the same to me (run n gun as COD is), different maps obviously. BO had more restrictions on it which gives COD4 the pip for me.

Do you mean Black Ops 2? Black Ops 1 was released in 2010.

BO Peaked at 1922
BOII peaked a 9316 players
Ghosts peaked at 6921
Warfare 3 7943
Interesting to see MW3 and BOII still have more players than Ghosts. Obviously theyre PC figures, not sure if Sony releases live figures like Steam does.

Black Ops 1 peaks at arounf 20-25K on weekdays, and around 30-35K on weekends for Xbox 360.
I'm surprised Blops 2 gets more players then Ghost. I hated Blops 2, what a mess.
Modern Warfare 2 for me. Despite the noob quickscopers, the modded controllers and various cheating of other players, this is by FAR my favorite COD game.
I never play campaign, I always play FFA. I still play almost daily still after getting the game on release day. Love it.
I exclusively play on TDM because I feel it is the same gametype on any FPS title. So if I ever go to a different game, I'm never out of practice. I'm currently ranked about ~#1040 with a 1.96 KTD ratio.
