Way back, playing final fantasy vii on a win95 PC that barely met the minimum requirements. Finally beat Sephiroth and the game freezes. I didn't have the best weapons or materia, so the fight was actually a challenge.

Best:

Playing all the new arcade games in the late 70s and early 80s.

Christmas 199x, my brother got the brand new Nintendo 64 for his kids, we played it all day and night for like 4 days.

Buying myself a Wii in 2007, for once I had the latest greatest toy - that never happened as a child.

Worst:

Realizing over and over and over thru the years that I absolutely stink at all shooting games.

Finding out I am as bad at playing Guitar Hero as I am playing a real guitar.

Paying 30-40 dollars for a Coleco game cartridge in the 1980s. Thats like 120 bucks today.

Playing new games with my first 3dfx Voodoo card.

Killing a Cyberdemon.

Getting a broken Playstation for free, mailing it in to Sony to fix for $40 and playing Gran Turismo for the first time.

Downing The Lich King

Bad:

Power outages, game freezes, spontaneous reboots and BSODs.

Best: World of Warcraft from release to WOTLK. Great times. Still play a lot, but it's not where it was.

Playstation JRPGs, from original PS to PS3. Lots of timeless content came out on all consoles.

Quake 3 Arena instagib and Unreal Tournament.

Also had a good time at LAN parties with friends.

Worst: Current consoles. Virtually nothing of note on them as of yet.

This is about the most impossible question to answer for me, I'm just going to throw out one of each.

Best - Reaching level 60 on Everquest, which was the top level at the time I believe. I spent 16 hours straight, rarely getting up from my chair. The dinggggg! was so nice to hear, I literally went to bed within an hour of hitting that level. I felt so accomplished, but yet so tired. My eyes were shot for a day or two after. I camped the alien looking guys (in Scarlet Desert) - http://everquest.allakhazam.com/scen...t-riverbed.jpg <-- picture of them. They barely gave me any xp.

Worst - hmmmmmm. Everquest again I guess. Thinking I was some big bad mage and going back to my home city, sitting down (so people could admire my level, of course!) and then going AFK (away from keyboard). When I came back to my keyboard I was dead. I found out that Lieutenant Dagarok, a corrupt guard that hated my guts decided to walk out the gate while I was away (this is him - http://wiki.project1999.com/images/N...nt_dagarok.png) and slaughtered me. Some low level was watching and saw me die, I also lost a level... I tried to cover it up with /anon but he already knew. I was so.. mad. He started to mock me and make fun of me... which made it even worse haha.

In FFXI, stealing Lord of Onzozo from gilsellers during the 2005 massive inflation and getting Kraken Club to drop.

640,000,000 gil split three ways, yeah baby. I had the idea that SE would do something about the gilsellers because they were so rampant, so I saved the money.

Ended up able to buy all the HQ equipment I wanted a year later, including dusk gloves +1, HQ abjuration gear, etc.

Probably that or the time that I soloed Sei'ryu in front of half of a linkshell, lol. Afterwards, they were all like, "Holy ****!"
