Anyone have/played Wii music yet? (Nintendo, Action, 2008, teenager)

I'd love to purchase it for my husband but before I fork over $50 I want to know peoples reactions.

I checked IGN and it gets a 5 rating (meh) but I don't believe alot of that.

I want to know the average game players opinion, not teenagers and not gamers that think a game is only fun if you are blowing something up or shooting someone.

Is it fun?

1up gave Wii music A-, their site and how they review games is more focus on the emphasis of "FUN" for average avid gamers.

My idea of FUN is very relatively different to others, and I haven't played Wii music yet.

From everything I'm hearing, the game is a huge gimmick that's no fun after 10 minutes of play. Haven't played it yet, but it's really not my cup of tea. I'd prefer music games that actually require skill, like GH or DDR.
