Beta is out. Anyone playing beta or planning on getting this. I have never played the original but heard good things. Its a first person shooter I think like call of duty except with larger maps, hundreds of people in game, the ability to use vehicles, fly planes etc.

The original was excellent! I haven't played the beta, which has been out for a month I think.

I think it was better than COD - larger maps, more strategic, and the environment is destructable! - in other words you get to blow sh*t up.

It's one of the few titles on my purchase upon release list. Usually I will wait 6 months or so until the price drops.

I have Xbox, but considering Bad Company 1 was one of the most underrated games of all time I am definitely awaiting BC 2. CoD is gonna be in the trash after this comes out I am afraid.

CoD will still be CoD- this will be a good game, but for those who like to run n' gun BC2 aint it. The only game that can knock CoD off its horse will be a Halo game

I liked the first Bad Company, so I will probably be getting the new one too.

That's exactly why I like BBC2. It has more of a tactical element. It moves slow, like a careful ballet of death and victory. It does pretty good at rewarding the teams for tactical play (although, you still have the sniper idiots on offense, and there is nothing more frustrating then trying to take a crate when junior is 1/2 a click back trying to snipe).
And the huge maps, and the destructable environment, also add to the tactics. Blow a wall, sneak in the back way, let your team mates spawn on your point. The combined arms of armor, air, machine gun for supressing fire, assault, anti-tank, and yes sniping (in moderation). Nothing like it.
