There are several versions of each of those games you mentioned. Some good, some great, some not good at all.

As far as online mulitplayer goes, the Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 2 is by FAR the KING. This is perhaps the greatest multiplayer FPS ever created (well see how Black Ops plays which is scheduled for release in about 29 hours).

For campaign, I think I have to choose Halo. Lots of fun and not too long or short. But, Gears Of War campaign beats them all. IMO.

I do not like Battlefield at all.

Heres are the ones I’ve enjoyed the most. Keep in mind that I haven’t completed the single player portion of any of them although I’ve spent countless hours on-line with each.

1. Halo 2
2. CoD 4: Modern Warfare
3. MW 2

It’s still too early to tell how I feel about Black Ops although I doubt I’ll ever hold it in as high regard as I do the three games I’ve listed.

For me my 3 would be:

COD4
MW2
Battlefield 2: Modern Combat

You have to reclasify them I think - BBC is a tactical shooter (so is a game such as MAG). COD and Halo or more twitch type shooters.

I like COD for what it is - a fun FPS, but it relies on more twitch and non-strategic elements. It ain't the goal and team oriented BBC.

Battlefield 3 will be better than MW3, thats all I have to say. I use to be a cod fanboy. I went out my confort zone and never looked back. BF3 all day.
