Relocating to Williamsburg as a single mom (Hampton: employment, places to live)

Hi,

I'm 43, soon to be single & have two kids, ages 6 & 8. It's a long story I won't go into here, but I'm thinking of relocating to Williamsburg, VA.

I work in writing/public relations/communcations & would need a f/t job. Wondering if this sort of employment sounds viable in the area?

Also, what might one suggest for places to live and/or ways to get quickly acclimated as a single parent in the area? Are there many single parent households or will we stick out?
