I certainly hope this does not pave the way for George Allen to return to office. There are so many people in both parties who would be much better.

I think the only real competition for Allen would be Tim Kaine. Otherwise the seat's his.

Here's an early poll -- granted it's the central/sw virginia area -- but includes Periello's district. Think there's been a bit of shift since they three Periello out? WSET.com- Lynchburg, Danville, Roanoke- Home

Allen's not my favorite but certainly better than Obama's errand boy, Kaine (who by the way, did a spectacular job for the DNC this past year! Keep up the good work, Timmy. With your help, Republicans will have control of both houses soon. )
