I'm moving to Farmville next fall and I'm kind of scared. My girlfriend is at Longwood and I've decided to make the move over there with her. I've become comfortable with Williamsburg though. It's just big enough that it has alot of options for things (housing, jobs, entertainment) but small enough to where I don't feel lost in the crowd or have to deal with horrible traffic. I've looked at Farmville and the two things that stand out to me is that it's tiny and it's secluded. I tried looking on craigslist or even just a google search for jobs and there usually is one listing. I used the same route to find a room to rent (can't do apartments because of my lousy credit) and once again one or no listings at all. Does anyone have any info about this place? Any idea's of where to look for both employement/housing?

Thanks in advance.

For housing I would have your girlfriend start checking the boards at Longwood for folks looking for a roommate, or perhaps the housing office would keep a list. Of course I could be showing my age by saying to look for a sign with a pull-off tab! LOL! Good luck!
