Does anyone know of a place called Little's Run? It was supposed to be off the Middle River, but I think it may have been off the North River. It should be fairly near the Augusta-Rockingham border. I did find that the Post Office has assigne "plus 4" zip codes at Weyer's Cave to a place called Little Run.

Any help would be appreciated.

You have posted this in the "Northern Virginia" specific forum. I think you'll get more answers in the general Virginia.

Best of luck.

Sometimes names of rivers change. It took me awhile to figure out when I was doing some genealogy that my ancestors who lived on what was called the Gourdvine River in Culepeper County back in the 18th century lived on what today is called the Thornton. I was amused because I'd fished the Thornton a few times.

I see a Little Run near Mt. Meridian, VA in Augusta County where the Middle River also flows. What may be confusing is there's a Little North Mountain near there.

I know there is a waterway called Little Run, I've seen the sign at the bridge a hundered times but for the life of me I can't remember exactly where. I just drive by it . When you say the North River, could it be the North Fork of the Shenandoah River your thinking of? Both the Middle River and North Fork Shenandoah are in the Weyers Cave/ Grottoes area at the county line.

As mentioned in another thread, Little North Mountain is in the Western part of Augusta County between the Buffalo Gap area and the Town of Craigsville on state route 42. Similar name, but it may throw off your search. If I see that sign again I will post the spot.

Google found a Little Run Road in Weyers Cave. It crosses over a tiny stream, which could indeed be Little Run. Here's a map. Little Run Road is marked with the pushpin. If you look just a bit south you'll see a little stream just north of Middle River. Hope this helps.

Thanks to all who responded. I've literally just returned from Virginia, hunting for many things including Little's Run. I found lots of things, but not Little's Run. If it can be located it will help place properties ancestral property.

lammius, the map was really nice. Emsman, I look forward to you posting where your cross Little's Run.

What beautiful country you live in!
