Hi, I am planning to move to NoVA from New Jersey to start the next chapter of my life (I have a job lined up in DC) and am loving the area.

What I want to know is, how far can $825k go here? I am aware that this area is one of the most expensive housing markets anywhere in the country and $825k does not go as far here as it does in NJ? I'm looking for a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom townhouse in a safe, walkable community that is not much more expensive than $825k. I have my eyes on Reston and Tysons Corner, but I am wondering if there are any other towns I can consider. I really don't want to be much further than 45 min from DC's downtown.

Is $825k reasonable for a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom townhouse in a safe, walkable community in Fairfax or Loudoun county?

Thank you.

You can get a very nice SFH for that price. 2 bed 2 bath under that price would be easy I would think.
