Where on earth has there ever been a successful socialist government? It can work for a while in rich nations before the money dries up -- but it can't last because there is not enough innovation and prosperity to keep feeding it.

It's pure ideology -- a utopian vision that requires authoritarianism to enforce, particularly after a nation's wealth has been squandered.

I find the lt. governor race more interesting. if the black woman, who is a jamaican immigrant, former marine, and holds a master's degree wins, democrats are going to claim that ignorant unamerican white supremacists won. the democrat party is pretty much just a parody now. they get climate science from a 12 year old swedish girl, and they get news from late night talk show hosts.

This vote was a shot across the bow by the democrat voters to the DNC, Biden and Pelosi. To tell them to get their act together or there will be consequences come next November and beyond.

Gives me faith that the American voter still has a say in politics.
