Post History requested on Virginia House Furniture

Virginia House Furniture
I have a dining room set/chairs with matching buffet. I am unable to find any information about this set or if it is of any value other than sentimental.

The story goes... Mom 'bought' this furniture set during WW II from a very old lady with ration stamps. To validate the story, when we cleaned it out we found a book of ration stamps!

The wood is very dark, kind of on the black side although the wood grain is easily seen. It would be my idea of black walnut. It is VERY heavy and takes 2 'beefy men' to move the table or buffet. There is one identifiction mark that I have found. There is a wood burning mark stating "Virginia House" and that is all I can find. Unfortunately the furniture is stored at my daughter's house so I do not have photos for viewing. Any help would be appreciated.

I believe Virginia House Furniture was located in Atkins VA....and they were bought by another company in the 90's (google)....
Their stuff is nice and solid,....but are obviously not 'antiques' due to their age.

Best of luck....

I have a Virginia House Maple dresser with a DC-3 Aircraft and two propellers on the front. Likely made in the 40s or 50s.
