What I make at home from scratch (my youth wasn't totally wasted).

Before a kid stole his dad's tractor trailer and crashed into the building Franchi's in North Beach was pretty good (if you didn't look too closely at the apparent Health Code violations).

The original Ledo's in Adelphi/Hyattsville is good, most of the franchisees not so much.

Jerry's Pizza is very good. I will have to try Ledo's Pizza and see how they compare.

I love Ledo Pizza. I grew up eating pizza from the original Ledo Pizza in Adelphi. But now, I go to the Ledo Pizza in Laurel (they're a little crowded at times, but the cooks are great).

Jerry's is great too, though I usually only order from there when they have their $5.99 large special on Monday's.

Little Caesars used to be pretty good back in the 80s and early 90s (back when you actually used to get 2 pizzas). But now, it seems like their quality went down since they pretty much focus on the $5.00 Hot and Ready (which tend to be dry unless you get them right when they come out of the oven).

Charlies is a small hole in the wall place in Ft Washington that has been family owned for years. The pizza is made from scratch and anyone who has eaten it knows what I mean. It blows the chain places away. Key word - fresh.

How many of you in Ft Washington have been there?

I like 3 Bros better than Ledo's and both are well known by UM/NASA students/employees. Ledo's crust is akin to saltine crackers to me.

Caesar's was good back in the 80s-90s and disappeared until they recently hit strip malls with their $5 pizza. You do have to get them out of their oven but they are not near the best by any means.

Papa John's isn't too bad.

Of course this is IMO and I don't eat pizza but once or twice a month.
