I also think the national news about MGM drew attention as well. It's like Whole Foods. Retailers sometimes follow other retailers into a market. It cuts down on the need for research. They figure if it's good enough for Whole Foods or MGM, then we can take a look for ourselves. Landing a department store like Nordstroms or Lord & Taylor would be the tipping point I believe - if it hasn't happened already judging from the interest at the convention.

Good point. I think you will see a serious uptick in retailers around the area that the casino/resort will be built. Especially if it is MGM(if its not MGM there will probably be riots based on that survey LOL) since it is large enough to attract patrons from around the world. I agree that landing a Nordstroms, L&T, Bloomingdale's, or Saks would be a major tipping point. I think projects like Konterra, Westphailia, or the development around Greenbelt would be great projects to integrate that scale of retail. If the interests is as strong as they say, we should see some interesting announcements come out over the next year.
