It depends. Some couples make a combined income of $200k-300k/year or more just working for the government.

They can afford a lot of house even in the DC area.

You responded to a post from August 2013??? SMH here is my rebuttal..

Hyattsville is getting an increase of white families/individuals, especially around the Arts District & City Limits of Hyattsville, not that Landover/Bladensburg "Hyattsville". The local elementary and Middle School even seen an increase in white student enrollment.

Palmer Park/Landover/Kentland are areas that have a higher crime rate. They just do, dont sugar coat it. Also I work with the police, just last weekend it was a robbery on Firehouse Road, oh and a shooting over near Greeley Road last weekend, and wasnt there a couple murders off Central Avenue/Cindy Lane Area in like a 60 day span?? Oh yeah it was, my client resides over there. One or 2 neighborhoods in the area that are good do not outweigh the town as whole. The area is not a ghetto slum, but it isnt Pleasantville, the area is bad.

He was also the principle at Northwestern for a long time. I think he still lives in the county too. Bowie maybe?

And Buck Lodge Middle School for a while. He does still live in Bowie. I spoke with him at an event in Bowie a couple weeks ago and he confirmed that.

You do know Landover is an incorporated area that not defined by an "avenue" or "road" I dont even know where those area's are and I grew up here lol. Like I said Hyattsville has always been a 3rd white, a 3rd black, and 3rd latino. White families living in that area isn't unique. Yes crime is technically higher, doesn't mean its a LOT OF CRIME...just that its higher then more affluent area's...which is not a surprise. I dont have to sugar coat anything as I have NO clients who live here, I ACTUALLY LIVE HERE

Landover is not an incorporated area. It is, however, a Post Office address with its own Zip Code and a Census designated tract.

Glenarden and Seat Pleasant are incorporated municipalities near Landover. Glenarden was founded by free Blacks after the Civil War.

There are also several other incorporated municipalities near Landover which are collectively known as the Port Towns.
