Their is finally a lease signed for the Old Maryland Grill space in the Univ. Of MD hotel. A small local chain, GrillMax Steakhouse and Raw Bar wil be opening there. They have restaurants in Olney, Columbia and Burtonsville. Looks to have slightly lower prices than Burton's.

Looking forward to it!

I found this curious

Top Chef: D.C. (Season 7) winner Kevin Sbraga finds a fast-casual home for his famed hot chicken, sides, and desserts. The stall, lovingly named after his father, sends out crispy chicken platters and sandwiches that cater to customers’ heat preferences. All-day offerings also include fluffy New Orleans beignets, Old Fashioned-flavored cake doughnuts, and crispy waffle fries with an array of sauces.
I hope he's improved at running restaurants...

Kevin Sbraga, the celebrity chef who opened a restaurant in Jacksonville’s Riverside only to see it closed eight months later, has shuttered his last remaining restaurant in the Philadelphia area.
...
After his announcement last week, he took the bus home, the Inquirer reported. His Chevy Tahoe had been repossessed. He said he plans to consult and go to work for someone else.

I tried their chicken sandwich.

1. Roaming Rooster
2. Popeyes
3. Sonny & Sons (Le Fantome Food Hall)

It just didn't hit the palette right. It's their 2nd day. I'll give them time to perfect it before I order it again.

Next I'll try the other two restaurants.

I went to Roaming Rooster today bc I wanted a better chicken sandwich than I had yesterday for half the price.

Interesting, this blogger (implicitly) also didn't seem to think much of the chicken Riverdale Park Station Blog: Le Fantome is open!

I went tonight (Sunday, 8/21) the the pre-opening event and tried the three restaurants that had stalls.
Mokbar was my personal favorite but the sushi from Horu Sushi was also pretty amazing.
Perhaps there's a good reason why the chef of Sonny & sons has had to close all the restaurants he's opened...

It also comes down to area. You have to read the area. What works in NYC may not work in MD. Just like what works in MD, may not work in Texas. I'm pretty sure Texans think our BBQ joints are pretty meh. lol. And if you've ever had a crabcake outside of the mid-atlantic area, you probably never finish it. lol.

La Fantome is pretty good. The vibe is good. I liked the chicken and the sushi and the cupcakes.
