Hi. I moved here from out of state a month ago and need to go to an ER (and likely be admitted) for abdominal pain. What hospitals does anyone recommend? Thank you

You will want to make sure the hospital and staff are in your insurance network. Then choose from that list. If I were choosing a hospital in Maryland, I would look for one affiliated with Hopkins or the University of Maryland because I have had good experiences with hospitals in those systems. You may have other criteria. Whatever your criteria for choosing, you can use that to narrow your choice after getting a list of hospitals whose staff are in your insurance network. It is not necessary to go to the main campus hospital of whatever system you consider to be the best choice. Many local hospitals are affiliated with large, well-regarded systems.

How does one know which hospitals are affiliated with Hopkins or U of MD?
