Secondly, Greenbelt is a very good location close to the BW Parkway and 95. Beltsville, Adelphi, Burtonsville to name a few.
P.S. Don't listen to all these people trashing Prince Georges County. Life is what you make where ever you decide to live. It's all about how you carry yourself.
lol..and that's why I mentioned Laurel....

I'll put a good word in for my area. I'm in Beltsville, within 10 minutes of 495, 95 & 295. It's really convenient for commuting to either DC or Baltimore - I used to work a job requiring driving to client sites all over both metro areas, and while all traffic is bad in DC at 5pm relative to a rural area I was able to cope nicely.

Definitely look into Greenbelt, Berwyn Heights, or College Park. There's a relatively new apartment complex on Route 1 right by the 495 / 95 interchange, Wynfield Park, that I've been inside - it's pretty nice.

Thanks, I've actually started looking at the Laurel and Greenbelt areas. Their expensive but I'm sure their worth the price, especially being new to the area.

If you are going to both DC and Baltimore you might consider Silver Spring. There has been alot of redevelopment there in the last few years and it has alot to offer. You can get to both Baltimore and DC within 30-40 minutes. You also have access to the metro which makes going to the city at night a lot easier (don't have to worry about parking or driving home after a few drinks).

Laurel,Greenbelt,Beltville is more in the middle to Baltimore and DC. Laurel might be around 20 minutes to Baltimore and 15-20 minutes to DC.

Stay out of PG county is the first advice, anything after that in Maryland will be a step up.

I know right they would be on the floor laughing. This is one of those posting that makes you wonder if the poster ever step foot in PG county because I have seen communities in PG county that I have never seen in Montgomery county. I have been in some communities in PG county where I just want to ring the door bell on every home and ask what they do for a living so I can get a job their and move into their community. Have you seen the new Woodmore oh my the homes/area/community is so beautiful they would put my 5500 square feet home to shame.
