Totally agree. The Gray administration and councilman Brown have been rocked by so many financial and ethical scandals these past two months, that this strikes me as a PR move to show them fighting tooth and nail for the interests of the District. It's as if to say: "Pay no attention to all the recent shenanigans, we're willing to get arrested while fighting for the District's federal dollars, gosh darnit."

^ So it's fair that I can say "I told you so" when I warned people that the District would suffer if Gray was elected?

How has the District suffered since Gray got elected. Most of the real problems that have come about (i.e. test score scandals) came under Fenty and I am a Fenty supporter. I just don't like the way I see some people trying to undercut Gray before the man has had a chance to do anything.
At least Vince Gray is protesting against abusive federal authority. Do you think Adrian Fenty would have done anything in response to the unfair budget deal? We have the federal government closing options for reproductive health of women in DC. That's wrong on so many levels.
Anyway, Adrian hearts the GOP and the politics of austerity. Fenty was quoted in newspapers as supporting deep spending cuts at the federal level. Then again, if he were still mayor of DC, he would NEVER be so candid.

I don't believe those test score are tainted. I really don't. I'm a product of DCPS. During those test you'll have the teacher came around and say, think about that question. Is it wrong...not sure. Don't think someone erase the kids answers and input the correct.
We aren't undercutting Gray. He's doing it himself. I can't judge him, because of all the scandals. Yes, stand against the budget cuts. Are you doing it, because you should. Are you doing it, because of the scandals.
