It's a nice area, but there is a difference between the actual city of Falls Church and the outskirts, many of which retain a Falls Church postal code, places like Seven Corners, Bailey's Crossroads, Merrifield, and elsewhere. The city of Falls Church is small, tidy with an actual tiny walkable downtown, older homes and a sense of community, with terrific schools, very low crime, and a very high median income. The areas outside of it are a bit grittier and more urban; more apartments, more dingy strip malls, graffiti, petty crime and the like. I recommend performing a search on Falls Church in the Virginia forum to see what others have said about it.
