This (and other similar opinions) is pathetic! Sanders would be a train wreck in the Presidency! He'd make a laughing stock of the Dems. He'll never be able to get anything passed or approved, because the opposition party will bristle, and roadblock him at every turn, for being a Socialist. Anyone would be better than him, from that standpoint. Whatever happened to Warren; how did she get derailed?

How is it possible that it's come to this?! I can't bear watching this train wreck. His Orangeness will make mincemeat of The Burn, who, in turn, will try to show his opponent to be a fool.

This is too painful to watch.

Trump is urging Republican fans to vote for 'Crazy Bernie' in South Carolina's Democratic primary today.

https://nypost.com/2020/02/28/trump-...ernie-sanders/

I agree that this going to be painful to watch. Unfortunately, the outcome may be more predictable than Hilary's loss to Trump or even Trump's Republican nomination. Talk about shockers, thanks in part to Russia! I'm not sure how it came to this after the Democrats had four years to prepare. It may just take another four years of Trump before the changing of the political guard.

The one thing I've noticed about the American people is that they tend to vote toward extremes looking for change. Trump represented that 4 years ago promising a radical shift from Obama. Now Bernie is popular for similar reasons. Though the nation is probably not ready for that big of a shift to the left. Many on the west coast will prefer anyone over Trump, myself included. But its not as likely to happen in Bernie.

Derek

IMO Trump is a train wreck and a laughing stock. That doesn't stop people like Cruz from genuflecting even after Trump mocked his wife and father. Evangelicals have been completely exposed as caring more about power and control than "sincerely held beliefs". And the GOP is not going to like seeing a future Democratic president use the very same games Trump has used to get away with anything they want.

I can already predict the very same Republicans currently defending Trump as suddenly deciding later that it was bad and they "personally didn't agree with it" to oppose the same actions by a Democratic president. Look around. See any of them disagreeing? Remember that when they say it in the future.

Washington is a very blue state. I'm guessing Bernie will take it here even though I won't vote for him. But should he win the nomination, I would vote for him or anyone else over Trump. Hopefully we will be done with these this generation running for public office after this. I'm tired of the Bernie Bros but I'm way way way more tired of Trump supporters. They screams about socialism ignore that they are huge beneficiaries of those handouts, just like the 33 counties in Washington state helping themselves to $3 billion King County tax dollars every year. Trump supporters love socialism if they are the beneficiaries. Bottom line, expect Sanders to take Washington in the primary simply because it's a primary and Democrats can't stand Trump. I'm still kind of hoping Bloomberg gets the nomination. Trump cares about money and ego above all else and I think Bloomberg's money would be a dent to Trump's ego. Trump is a pauper by comparison and he inherited his money.

The Myon Burrell case is getting more and more legs and her fingerprints are on it (no pun).

It is our primary system. The far left crazies and the far right crazies carry more weight in the primaries, while the center does not bother to vote until the general election.

Well, then that would explain, at least in part, why we end up with choices like Bernie vs. Trump in the final election.

One has to decide which is the least objectionable out of a series of candidates. We saw that there is virtually nothing that Trump supporters will find objectionable and I don't think there has ever been a candidate with more negative history than Trump. We've all heard them and his supporters simply do.not.care. The opposition research is designed to depress the vote. I find Klobuchar to be pretty calm and reasonable and after Trump, the bar is so low that calm and reasonable sound fantastic. I would love to go a day not feeling like we are not on the brink of disaster because he picked a fight with foreign country because they made a joke about his hair.

How it came to this, is that the Dems failed to prepare. Everyone and his dog wanted to toss their hat in the ring. The Party needs to do a better job of fostering leadership. It looks like they didn't make any effort at all to come up with a viable candidate. Bernie's an embarrassment, IMO.

Do you vote in the Washington State primary?

We are not voting in the Washington state primary. We don’t lik3 a Trump because of his anti-environmental antics nor his assault on public’s lands. We do like that he is trying to do something about the illegal alien issue.

None of the Democrats on ballot are appealing either. My litmus tests are illegal immigration and the environment. Their platforms are pro-amnesty and some are favoring free tuition and medical insurance for illegal aliens.

I didn’t vote for either candidate in 2016. My check mark was next to Obama in 2008 and 2012. My, how times have changed.
