Oh, and GO BEAVS! It's a crazy year when the Beavs are in the E8.
Pulling for USC over the Ducks.

Yeah, badminton is cool, too, as is table tennis. Or pocket billiards, but let's smack ourselves in to reality and track basketball and football primarily here!

I think the Zags move on tomorrow, but it will be close with Creighton. Wake up call perhaps. I predict a 5 point Zag victory.

Meanwhile Oral Roberts gave Arkansas all they could handle and put the world on notice their Sweet 16 berth wasn't a fluke. They led most of the game, up by as much as 14 at one point, and were a missed-by-an-inch three-point shot away from advancing.

I'm not joking, I didn't know Oral Roberts even had a basketball team until about 10 days ago. It will be interesting to see if they can use their success in this tournament to build a bona fide basketball program like Gonzaga did.

Go Zags!

I'm just gonna revise my score estimate for today's game:

Gonzaga 80
Creighton 66

Go Zag's!

Oral Roberts has had a basketball team for about 50 years if not longer and this not the first time they have been in the NCAA tournament. In fact its the 6th time but also eight NIT tournaments both dating back to 1974.

Unfortunately, the odds are heavily against that. Coaches who succeed at that lower level, soon move on to the higher level. Money talks.
Obviously, Zags have kept Few happy, like Duke keeps K happy.

My revised score estimate:

Creighton 66

Actual score:
Gonzaga 83
Creighton 65

Not far off. On to the next round, eh?

Go Zags!
