Hey! My husband and I are moving to Washington from Hawaii. I got a new job and I will be traveling between Kent and Tacoma and Puyallup for it. We are wondering where we should live? We have looked at the Milton/Fife area. It seems the most central to all of the areas I will be traveling to for my job.

Fife has some nice housing in it, but also has a lot of industry and bad traffic. Milton is quieter. I might also look at Dash Point, Redondo, and Des Moines, or even North Tacoma. All of those have good neighborhoods and good views

I'd second Ira's suggestions of Milton and North Tacoma and would add Edgewood/Puyallup.

I would recommend North Tacoma and / or Puyallup...I have family in Puyallup and they just love it there, seems a larger city with a small town atmosphere.
