Weatherbase: Historical Weather for Namp'o, North Korea - Travel, Vacation and Reference Information

Winters are short and reasonably cold, especially for the latitude (38N), but relatively warm compared to other parts of North Korea. The average lows in summer are pretty impressive for a location that gets so cold in Winter. The pronounced wet and dry seasons would be nice to experience as well.

Summer isn't too warm and reasonably long at five months. An average of 19" of rain would be interesting in two (hottest) months...

I will give this an A-. Minus because the Winter temperatures aren't that cold. I'm sure the continental wind makes up for that though, which may also blow an already shallow snow-pack around.

Very similar to my current climate. Nice overall with temperatures and precipitation. Summer nights are warmer than I prefer, but not a bad climate in general.

C. Winters too cold than necessary and summers too wet. Winters are probably sunny, though.

Was going to put a B because of the humid summers until I saw the rainfall totals: 19 inches just for July and August alone! The rain will keep things from getting hot (especially considering that 95F record high, although these statistics in general are in suspect since they're from Best Korea). If this climate is accurate, I would give it an A.

D,

a small notch above Toronto for having a record low of only -2 F and being as "warm" as 44 F by March.

I would not be happy living in a climate less than B- without A LOT of distractions from the weather.

I'm sure the Dear Leader could offer plenty of distractions in North Korea.

Kim Jong Ill?

Yeah, I'd be hating his regime at least equally, if not more than the climate.

For 38 degrees N, this is a disgusting climate.
This kind of climate, unless it's high altitude, should be impossible south of 41-42 N in North America.
Even Windsor, ON might be better for warmth, annually.
